This would definitely not have been my kind of movie, but my husband saw it on TV and said it was really good. So, on his recommendation, I bought a copy, since I didn't know if it would ever be on TV again. I had never heard of anybody in it except Armand Assante. At first I had a hard time getting into the story, because the first part of the movie is a jumble of images-- and...。一位在事业上大获成功的雕塑家最近却因为收到一些神秘的信件而出现危机，原来是有人在向他寻求帮助。后来终于发现与他联络的是一个7岁的小男孩，一直遭受着抚养他的一对古怪夫妻的虐待。 随着雕塑家发现的越多，他觉察到自己的妻子与整个神秘事件竟然有着牵连。不久，他不得不面临抉择，是该任由男孩的生死还是放弃他所知道的全部事情和认识的每一个人。。
