特朗是一位极具天赋和热情的特技演员。他所参与的一部电影的制片人注意到了他的这一特质，于是制片人想利用特朗为其走私一批违禁品并威胁如不答应自己的要求，就停止影片的拍摄，让整个剧组失业。特朗得知制片人在利用完自己后就会杀人灭口，于是他偷偷将违禁品藏了起来。制片人得知后绑架了剧组导演，并以此为筹码所要自己其余的货物。特朗和剧组其他成员一道解救了导演并将制片人绳之以法。。与英版类同，美版每集皆有独立的案件及一位等待法庭判决的被告，而剧中会重新描述被告的背景及被指控什么案件，同时让观众思考他是否有罪。。Tom Riley thought he was getting the deal of a lifetime when he bought a house below market value at a Sheriff's sale.
