戏曲电影《敬老院的故事》的故事发生在一个依山傍水的豫南小镇，通过敬老院院长用心促成一对历经40年坎坷的老人有情人终成眷属，表现一群老有所乐的老活宝们的温情生活，同时唤起公众对老年人的更多关爱。。卡兰已经几个月没出门了。他坚持认为远离这个世界的纷扰，自己一个人在家会更快乐。而后有一天，两个女人、一个高个子和一个裹着气泡垫塑料包装的小坏蛋闯入卡兰精心打理的生活和房子，而且事先没有任何通知。随之而来的是一片混乱，这时卡兰意识到，不管他怎么努力，都不可能永远把世界拒之门外。。Rebecca is in agony.
