The Life & Times of Tim is an animated comedy that tells the story of Tim Dildarian, an average cubicle monkey in his mid 20s that works for the generic company "Omnicorp" in New York. Throughout the series, Tim constantly finds himself in increasingly awkward situations in both his work and personal life。埃尔文与花栗鼠们在这一集踏上前往纽约的公路之旅，旅行的目的则是阻止他们的“主人”戴夫向女友求婚，而原因则是他们担心结了婚的戴夫会抛弃他们。。在好友宫田（Miyata）的陪同下，佐野（Sano）回到了日本的海滨度假胜地伊豆，五年前他在这里爱上了如今已故的妻子的凪（Nagi）。佐野初次邂逅亡妻的海边旅馆如今濒临倒闭，他重返故地，试图找回一顶五年前丢失的红色帽子，那是彼时爱的信物，也是此时失落的证明。。
