机竜之助（市川雷蔵）は京の島原で宇津木兵馬（本郷功次郎）と対決するが、靄の中で両者とも互いを見失ってしまう。怪盗・裏宿の七兵衛（見明凡太朗）は島原にいるお松（山本富士子）の身請に向かう途中、負傷した兵馬と出会い、共にお松のいる木津屋を訪れる。七兵衛はつい先刻まで兵馬が戦っていた相手こそ、お松の祖父を斬った浪人であることを伝える。仇が同じ竜之助であることから、激しい復讐の念を燃やす兵馬とお松。兵馬は新選組を抜け、3人は竜之助の後を追う。竜之助はふとしたきっかけから丹後屋敷に逗留していたが、江戸へ向かい、上野の旅籠で浪人・酒井新兵衛(小堀阿吉雄)と出会う。酒井の引き合わせによって天誅組の総裁・松本奎堂（羅門光三郎）と行動を共にすることとなるが、天誅組は大敗を喫し、藤堂藩、彦根藩などに追われるようになった。その最中、竜之助は、追手が投げ込んだ爆薬のため失明...。In a peripheral and unprecedented Milan, a place frequented by the queer community is in danger of closing due to economic problems.
