年过四十的阿娥性格直爽、心地善良，相夫教子，伺候婆婆均得体，不过与坏脾气的公公却怎么也合不来。不久婆婆猝死，公公得了老年痴呆症，小叔小姑都不愿意承担赡养责任，偏偏公公谁都忘了，只记得阿娥。阿娥无奈，只好工作、家庭两不误，累得心力交瘁。为减轻负担，她把公公送去老人院，结果自己却像丢了魂似的，直到把公公重新接回家中才定下心来。而公公听似疯癫的言语，看似幼稚的行动，都给阿娥带来难言的生命启示……。"A Walk to Beautiful" tells the story of five women in Ethiopia suffering from devastating childbirth injuries. Rejected by their husbands and ostracized by their communities, these women are left to spend the rest of their lives in loneliness and shame. We follow each of these women on their journey to a special hospital in Addis Ababa where they find solace for the first time...。
