乡下母亲周小丽受自己儿子邀请进城参加儿子的婚礼，却在车站偶遇儿媳金诗雨和亲家母林紫薇，发生了误会被金诗雨母女残忍对待。而一直在找寻母亲的儿子却多次和周小丽错过，周小丽千辛万苦来到婚礼现场，却再次被金诗雨母女虐待，得知真相的孙皓决定退婚。"Daughters of the Dust" tells the story of a family of African-Americans who have lived for many years on a Southern offshore island, and of how they come together one day in 1902 to celebrate their ancestors before some of them leave for the North. The film is narrated by an unborn child, and ancestors already dead also seem to be as present as the living.。
