大導演張徹拍攝的少林電影，在七十年代把功夫片推上新的高潮。本片主要交代少林三大俗家弟子洪熙官（陳觀泰）、方世玉（傅聲）、胡惠乾（戚冠軍）的事蹟。故事描述，明末，明將吳三桂賣國降清，清官招降納叛，廣收武當、峨嵋派的江湖敗類，勾結地方惡霸，向少林子弟趕盡殺絕，洪、方、胡等處在重重危機險惡之中……。When a casino owning dog named Charlie is murdered by his rival Carface, he finds himself in Heaven basically by default since all dogs go to heaven. However, since he wants to get back at his killer, he cons his way back to the living with the warning that doing that damns him to Hell. Once back, he teams with his old partner, Itchy to prep his retaliation. He also stumbles on to an orphan girl who can talk to the animals, thus allowing him to get the inside info on the races to ensure his wins。阿名（张卫健饰）是个怀揣梦想却非常平凡的小人物，有一天他目睹了绑匪（郭政鸿饰）绑架了一个大老板的儿子。回到家里的他突然被老妈骂得一无是处，于是他决心做一件吸引目光的大事，没想到却惹火烧身……。
