本片乃邵氏与日本日活公司合作拍摄的占士邦式动作片。走私黄金的犯罪组织首领乔治伊顿(宾户锭 饰)潜逃香港，亚洲秘密警察日本支部探员杨明轩(王羽饰)远赴香港缉凶，期间结识香港密探赖雨田(王侠 饰)，更周旋于美女杏子(浅丘琉璃子 饰)、春子(滨川智子 饰)及杨明华(方盈 饰)之间……。FOX的《24小时》重启剧集《24小时：遗产》由Howard Gordon、Manny Coto及Evan Katz执行制片，Corey Hawkins饰演男主角Eric Carter， 新角色Eric Carter背景为一个军队英雄回到美国后，麻烦跟随他来到美国，因此令他找上CTU的协助，并且阻止可能是美国本土最大型的恐怖袭击。Eric Carter过去十分粗暴，不过后来加入了陆军游骑兵，在剧中回到弗吉尼亚州找妻子Nicole，但一回到本土就遇上麻烦。《24小时：遗产》缘用该剧的一集为「真实一小时」的制式。。After a KGB agent defects to the US, the CIA has the job of not only taking from him his dowry of information (ie. the price of the bride), but also making sure he isn't a 'plant' to uncover secrets from us.
