This three-part, self-contained limited series is about the newest member of the Midnight Society, her first scary tale, and what happens to the group when the terrifying events of her story start to actually happen in their small town.。电影讲述了上海精武会方会长，因为年事已高，想在郭天和孔鹏之间挑选接班人，郭天委托铁猴子之孙铁忠帮忙护送重要名册，结果遇上铁猴子前来抢夺名册，猴拳与南派武术打得不可开交，铁忠为亲辩护，众人认为事情太过蹊跷。而此时，精武会元老们认为郭天护送不力，严重失责，并被追究起旧账。一时间，强敌在暗，敌友难分，杀机四起……。
