东日本大地震9年后的宫城县，发生了连环杀人案件，在警察笘篠（阿部宽饰）的追查中，因为帮朋友而引发纵火伤人事件入狱，现在刚出狱不久的利根（佐藤健饰）成为嫌疑人。在没有决定性证据的情况下，又发生了新的案件。。An altruistic department-store owner hires ex-convicts in order to give them a second chance at life. Unfortunately, one of the convicts he hires recruits two of his fellow ex-convicts in a plan to rob the store.。
