本作是采访了80名日本电视台报道记者后根据真实内容改编的电视剧。以NTV报道局为舞台，报道奥姆真理教事件、秋叶原无差别杀人事件、女子大学生杀人放火事件以及时效废除、东日本大地震、疫情等象征各时代新闻的记者的困惑、犹豫、纠结。。On Christmas Eve in 1968 six-year-old army brat Clairee simultaneously learns the hard truth about Santa Claus and the realities of war. Her bullying older brother Mickey informs her that Santa insn't real and that their absent father is actually far away, serving his country in the Vietnam War。
