本片由三个小故事组成。 何倩美刚从外地返港，闲极无聊，拨电到旧居，怎料听电话的竟是自己；自此以后，她不断受电话困扰，从而揭发一宗命案。《寻》 杨丽及其丈夫何文田两人恩爱非常。但丽行动怪异，常拿菜刀切肉斩瓜，制造噪音，令邻居聋婆不胜其烦，聋婆对丽非常憎恶，于是打小人，却被田听见她咒骂丽，怒将聋杀死，丽亲眼见田害死人，不知如何是好。《离骚》 民近十年作同一个梦，他用尽方法亦解不开梦境之谜，后经女友梓介绍下，找到滥竽充数的玄学家静，静藉此敛财，胡说一通却误打误撞的说中了一切。由于民仍被梦境困扰，故而不断追寻真相，更纠缠于前世今生之中，终招致历史重演。。John Day is a bank manager and lives with his wife Maria Day. The couple has recently lost their only daughter. Maria is always depressed and never opens up with anyone.
