民国初年，北方盘龙镇来了一神秘男子巡城马。抢山贼银票的姚氏藏于巡城马投宿的房中被山贼误为一伙，追杀中，由胡某救下，为报恩须十二天内安然将四个木箱送至给匪头焦龙原来胡已捉去姚家人，巡城马见日落姚未归，前去搭救，才知道他们送去的是屠杀革命党人的……。Charlie goes to the movie and falls in love with a girl on the screen. He goes to Keystone Studios to find her. He disrupts the shooting of a film, and a fire breaks out. Charlie is blamed, gets squirted with a firehose, and is shoved by the female star.。
