故事以2020年东京奥运会之后的日本为背景，通过“极普通的家庭故事”，讲述了在日本逐渐沉没的情况下，面对终极选择的人们的现实生活。。阿蒂姆（阿利·巴凯 Ali Barkai 饰）的父亲在战争之中死去了，十六岁的阿蒂姆拿着一把手枪，决定群寻找并且杀死自己的杀父仇人。怀揣着满心的仇恨，阿蒂姆来到了仇人纳萨拉（尤苏夫·约罗 Youssouf Djaoro 饰）所在的城市，此时的纳萨拉早已经成家立业，并且经营着自己的面包房，每天，他都会将卖剩下来的面包分给附近穷苦的孩子们，俨然一副老好人的模样。 为了接近纳萨拉，阿蒂姆隐瞒了自己的真实身份，作为学徒来到了纳萨拉的面包房工作。纳萨拉非常喜欢聪明肯干的阿蒂姆，将自己的本领毫无保留的传授给他。随着时间的推移，阿蒂姆和纳萨拉之间渐渐产生了亲情。。Young people use music to express their new awareness of life and generational opposition to their parents, as well as to protest the social and political climate in East Germany.
